Veronica is a User Experience Designer and Strategist with 9+ years of professional experience in UX/UI design.
She recently started at Home Depot as a Senior UX Designer working on optimizing, innovating, and growing the Recommendations offerings of HomeDepot.com; currently 4 billion dollar profit center within The Home Depot.
She has delivered production-ready designs for multiple Fortune 100 companies, including the 2021 update to the Kroger Pickup and Delivery Checkout experience and Delta Air Lines’s Internal Cabin Defect Reporting System.
Veronica’s passion revolves around resolving complex challenges with innovative and intuitive digital experiences. She focuses on using user-centered design principles to create unique interfaces for various users through wire-framing, prototyping, and user testing.
Outside of work, She is deeply passionate about Competitive Historical Fencing.
Veronica serves as one of the Assistant Instructors at the Atlanta Historical Fencing Academy (AHFA) in Atlanta, GA. Her primary weapon interests are Longsword and Quarterstaff, but is also proficient with Sword & Buckler, Rapier & Dagger, and Saber.
Since her start in 2019, she has been involved in almost every aspect of HEMA; from competing in tournaments, directing/judging and running events, to leading and advocating for underrepresented genders in HEMA. Most recently, she was invited to teach classes on polearms, longsword techniques, and inclusivity at Swiss Blades 2025 in Le Landeron, Switzerland
